Artist Anthony Auerbach talks about his work “Index (The State of New York)”, presented at Scope New York 2007 art fair by Marc de Puechredon Gallery.
Index is an inventory of the photographs resulting from the aerial survey The State of New York. The survey recorded the ruined state of the terrazzo map of the ‘Empire State’ which was installed in the floor of the New York State pavilion for the 1964 World’s Fair.
